RE: "Time changes a lot of things."

Yes, we can hardly remember the names of US and Israeli leaders 40 years ago. Fortunately, we don't have that problem with Pal organizations and leaders.

RE: ". I believe Palestinians' expectations have been curbed..."

You are correct. They realize that the destruction of Israel will require a two step process.

RE: "We can't do anything to please them anyway..."

You ignore history. Israel had a government that tried to "please them". Just when the best offer ever made was presented by Barak and Clinton, the Pals decided to launch this second terrorist intifada. Israel has a new government, now. Everyone on both sides agrees that Sharon is in power because of Pal terrorism, because the Israeli electorate believes Labor was wrong, that "We can't do anything to please them anyway."

When asked about suicide bombing, an Iranian representative said that it was the only way the Pals could fight Israel's superior power. Was that justification? Certainly, it was an attempt to make it seem pragmatic. I thought that the best way to stop the terrorism would be to kill 10,000 Pals after each terrorist attack, preferably in the village, town, or ciy of the attacker. I don't accept that response just because it is the "best way", i. e. pragmatic.
