how were they "selected" You tell me - how does one become a leading Shiite or Sunni cleric, an Iraqi tribal leader, a Kurdish leader or any other kind of genuine leader of one's people in a country run for decades by a murderous dictator? The fact is, GST, that the US did nothing but organize and facilitate these meetings and US authorities invited everyone in a position to represent a local or national group - religious, ethnic or secular. They invited pro-US groups AND anti-US groups - the only group excluded was the Baathists. Some declined to participate in the first meeting a couple weeks ago, but from all accounts it appears that no one of any significance stayed away from Monday's meeting. I think you know this, but simply refuse to let facts get in the way of your small-minded war on America. The only rubes here are in your imagination where you dream that anyone is falling for your bullshit.
