The topic from the start was a question. At what point is unprovoked aggression justified? (I am not sure "unprovoked aggression is even a legitimate term).

Anyway, when there are opposing sides on an issue, tension exists between the two sides and the tension is rising toward a breaking point, how do we determine when aggression would be justified. I thought the dialogue was following a fairly rational course.

I often struggle with an issue in which I bring other eyeballs into the struggle to give me their ideas. That is not oppositional so I consider the two heads better than one scenario a separate topic.
