stock, the UN's own documents showed iraq had tons of unaccounted for wmd. i'm sure baghdad bob wasn't exactly spilling the truth with weapons inspectors, so i could see how some might misunderstand a bit... -lol-

we make decisions based on perceptions, not reality. perhaps they were wrong. or not. we don't know. yet.

i will agree, though, that if wmd isn't found or tracked that the US loses lots of credibility...

but the guy stating they likely don't have it before we know is akin to the administration saying they do have it before we know for sure...

if one is bad, both are bad and both should be avoided... right?

btw, i can think of a lot of reasons why wmd wasn't used over baghdad... not the least of which is the info minister may have telling saddam what he was saying to the rest of the world... if so, there was nobody to gas... until too late.

also, gassing 5 million of your families and friends is not something most generals would do.

or, maybe, they didn't have any to toss up in the air...

we'll see.
