The reason religions are so hypocritical is because they were all created by frail human beings. Everything was a threat to the earliest humans. The "holy" man, being the most clever man in the group, saw an opportunity to become the most powerful member of the community. He told the frightened & confused masses that he had been sent as God"s messenger. The sheep followed & obeyed all the rules lest they burn in hell.

In this day of computer science & space travel, I am completely amazed that the obedient sheep still follow & believe all the rantings of fire & brimstone. A God who can only lead with terroristic threats is not worthy of anyone's love. Therefore, individual philosophies of life will someday become every person's private religion. Love thy neighbor as thyself is the best directive to be salvaged from thousands of yrs of human religious belief.

The reason organized religions have resulted in so much slaughter & cruelty thru the centuries is because everyone wants to believe they know the absolute truth & anyone who believes otherwise is stupid & dangerous.
That's silly. We inherit our religion from our parents.....they are all human creations & a supreme diety had nothing to do with them. How foolish would be a Creator who allowed his followers to slaughter each other in His name. It's totally illogical.
