Pat: No doubt about it ... AMTX's DMT is hot stuff. I'm counting on their DMT flavor "AMTX/MOT" to outperform any other DMT flavors. Looking at the BCTel site, The technology can currently provide "upstream" speeds of about 640 kilobits per second and "downstream" speeds of 1.5-6 megabits per second to the home. The Westell solution doesn't indicate rates of 640k upstream. At the BC site they indicate, Bell's ADSL service will provide speeds of 2.2 megabits per second (Mbps) downstream and 1Mbps upstream. , which are the speeds of the Westell soltion is both directions.

I'm not saying BC has signed with Westell, but all indications point to a Westell/Nortel solution... until later.
