Before 9/11 Bush was already hard at work cutting taxes forand paying incentives to the rich and looting social security to do it...with current non-disclosure, cover-ups and lies, how much worse is it....my guess - the US is bankrupt, Social Security is next.....

Bush promised not to touch Social Security and Medicare funds during his presidential campaign. Now it is widely reported that he will need to spend Medicare funds and even Social Security funds to pay for his federal programs. His tax cut for the super rich is eating away at the budget surplus created by the Clinton administration. He has been in office only 8 months but his tax and economic policies have seen the budget surplus dwindle down. Salon, August 28, 2001. USA Today, August 28, 2001.
