Dee Jay, I'm not going to convince you of anything because you want to believe Ejabat is a man of the highest character who was just relaying bad information. The fact is that he is a talented and successful businessman, and is perfectly willing to push the envelope of credibility if it will help to achieve desired results. In this case, the desired result was to delay the deployment of x2 and to minimize the number of defections from Consortium vendors to x2 vendors. (He wan't trying to manipulate the price of the stock, although the market caps of ASND rose and COMS dropped on his pronouncements, but reversed when it became apparaent what the real facts were.)

How is it that we know he was wrong when he said Ascend would be first to market?
How is it we knew that K56 product would not be shipping in January?
How is it we knew Rockwell would not have volume production until summer?
How is it we knew that Ascend modem cards sockets would not accept K56 chipsets?
How is it we knew hi-den Maxen configurations had heat problems before Ascend said so?
How was it we knew K56 cards were not shipping in quantities as reported?

How is it we outsiders knew and posted all of these things, yet insiders and Ascend and other Consortium companies didn't? It's those people's business to know, and you can bet your ass they did. So, they made the best of a bad situation by stating non-truths and making misleading statements, thus creating uncertainty. We'll never know how successful they were in hindering the deployment of x2, however, a lot of investors who heeded the FUD were punished, while those who went went with the facts were well rewarded.
