Charts are only part of the guessing process of market direction. The negation of a down move today in face of bad news made me suspicious of the data released. Keep in mind the government statisticians have a master to service which needs improving economic numbers later this year. Economic environment is tricky now due to the war in Iraq and the rise in energy prices whose effects were not yet eliminated. Possible May & April statistics will be more reflective of the economy reflecting the lower energy prices
