Nope, I am not surprised if Japan does go to nuclear, and I am not particularly worried either because I think they would not use it even if they acquire it.

Maybe the only way to control nuclear weapon is to let every single nation on earth who wants them to have them, then there would be no one dare to use it. And the US foreign policy is a sure way to push forward this trend. Talk about unintended consequences.
