I don't see what your objection to the phrase "talks broke down" is re Taba, but it doesn't matter. How would you call the end result of Taba, which did not end in an agreement?

Re "sovereignty" - I cannot agree with you that Israel should be able to control just how autonomous & sovereign a Palestinian state will be, no matter how threatened they feel (which is reaching paranoid proportions, by the way)

Israel is small enough and its population is concentrated enough that an unconventional attack from a Pal state...

So, basically, you feel Palestinians should not have a country of their own? Ever?

And what would that change? Even without a state, they can find a nuke and plant it in the middle of Israel, you know...
