Here is what I have deciphered from many discussions with analysts, people in the field and from the CC's.

First reported sales for the qtr were $16.7MM. Actual sales to the hospitals have been reported or deciphered as follows. First Jan came in at or around $4MM,Feb came in the same or slightly lower. So lets put Feb at $4MM. March sales we know were not above the $6MM level. I would guess and this is a guess that sales for March came in around $5MM. So that would mean actual sales to the hospitals would be in the $13MM range. So the differential is approx $3.7MM. This would be the additional product that was put into the wholesaler inventories.

This inventory level is less than one month sales. Who has a comparison from the industry for inventory levels? I would say based on the MLNM article that I posted this would be a low level of inventory. I would not think that this level of inventory in the wholesaler pipeline is in any way excessive. I would state that in fact this is a great position for MDCO to currently be in. Hopefully we will see sales pop above the $6MM/month rate soon. That would make the $3.7MM in wholesaler inventory look like chump change.

Currently the story is intact and MDCO is a strong buy anywhere below $20.

Best of luck to the longs,
