Yep, did get those badly from haying, I recall, with long sleeves- I thought we were going to cut down that juniper, since it grows back very fast, like the laurel hedges I did for them last year..... not stick your arms in these (some 10+ foot high)bushes and cut the branch to leave some green shoots.......made the job long and ill-prepared.....had my chainsaw ready, not pruning shears.....plus the pollen. Ma said it wasn't the best day to trim but it needed to get done while I had the time. She was showing me this branch cut here and that one there and when she left I cut em all down and away from the rockery (the dang stuff grew so big they can't cut their grass next to that rockery) and plead stupidity......she knew I never listened... next good time for gardening...... May 5 (10:42 am est)-7 (8:46 pm) moon is in the 1st quarter, the sign Cancer (the best fertile sign for gardeners my ma tells me) and what to do: Plant grains, leafy annuals. Fertilize, graft or bud plants. Irrigate, trim to increase growth. best time to get a haircut-- May 5,6,7 to increase growth....since I like just to get all of that cut off I avoid those days......Howdy the usual #1 (setting) all over my noggin.... gin- had the same reaction after I played checkers quite a while back. (all the checker pieces were shot glasses and when you jumped them, you emptied them........
