The Left and Capitalism...Such a paradox...The left will be hammering/yammering about the economy and jobs with the upcoming election....and yet....they hate capitalism. Good heavens, where does that come from. The sort of vicious version of the turn of the century populist movements, definitely right wing in terms of the parallel between their social views and the groups the Reps are now winking and nodding with, were deeply opposed to capitalism. I don't know that the "left" has a position on "capitalism." Too many variables in the content of each of those terms to make an argument one way or the other. Ditto for the right.
