Are you saying it's all some right wing conspiracy theory? Are you're saying that Senator Byrd was not a KKK Kleagle? Are you're saying Senator Byrd didn't continue to support the KKK well into adulthood? Are you're saying Senator Byrd didn't vow never to fight "with a Negro by my side. Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds." ? Are you're saying that years after allegedly ending his ties to the KKK, Senator Byrd didn't write in the mid 1940's, "The Klan is needed today as never before and I am anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia" and "in every state in the Union."? Are you're saying Senator Byrd didn't filibuster the Civil Rights Act of 1964 & vote against it? Are you're saying Senator Byrd didn't oppose other affirmative action legislation, ET AL? Are you're saying that in 2001, Senator Byrd didn't say on Fox News, "There are white niggers, I've seen a lot of white niggers in my time, if you want to use that word."?
