I will accept that if you allow the clouding of facts to include both sides of the conflict.

The world had an abundance of self rationalizing asses as well as the ignorant masses who gobble up the trash du jour. GWB managed to convince 35% of Americans that Saddam was implicated in 9-11 even though he never made that allegation.
...Fortunately most of this stuff is transitory and dies the ignoble death that it deserves.

But I think you should consider that there are also those who collect up all of these anectdotal incidents and weave them into another piece of trash - "All Arabs are accepting this crap as truth". Thereby addressing acts of polarization with with acts of polarization.
...And if you are not quite ready to make that adjustment then at least consider that, based on studies of genetic markers, Jews are Arabs too ;-).

IMO - the road to peace lies along a path that follows the commonalities. The path of differences leads only to a dark abyss.
