units from Hessen will be moved permanently to Grafenwöhr. The headcount in this case stays, it's just one location less - they had their shooting range in Grafenwöhr anyhow and that means cca 300 miles drive one way.

I know Grafenwöhr from (sort of) far away, drove around it for years without realizing what's all in there. Oberpfalz - strange, solitary part of Germany, but not very far from anywhere - like, it's 20 30 miles to Wagner's Bayreuth and possibly 40 to Nürnberg. 20 to Chech border.
