PORTLAND INDYMEDIA: "Corporate Media is the Disease" -- Don, On the question of activism, here's an interesting article I've just run across in hard copy: willametteweek.com ******** I've filed a couple of stories on Portland IndyMedia, and used their calendar feature. Last October, it was useful in informing our "parade marshall" for an anti-war rally in Bend. He was a peace activist from the Puget Sound area and just traveling through. Serenditiously he read the calendar, joined us and was willing to carry our largest placard at the head of the parade. Civil society needs places to meet. IndyMedia seems to be one options. In spite of the warts that Nick Budnick correctly points out. Democracy is mess, eh? :) Cheerio!
