Hawk,
I have been to Graf a few times.
Fired some of what was then the new TOW missile with a new special night sight in 1973.

Also participated as an SF recon team leader for a few armor exercises...and some special training for 2-6 Infantry Battalion which was stationed in Berlin but was in Graf for training.

But I have not been there except once in the late 70s (maybe 79) since.

Tours in Germany will never be volunteered for if Graf becomes home base.

On the other hand maybe that is the plan...Perhaps Germany (like Korea) becomes a short tour. And perhaps our German contingent (like Korea) gets reduced to 36,000 or less.

Edit...My buddy just reminded me that I was at Graf in the early 60s too...around 64. Was hard to get a Bier there then.
