Paul,

Garzarelli is not worthy of being considered in the same breath as Cohen, Yardeni, Acampori or hundreds of others.

Simply put, she zigs when she should zag. I know of no other strategist or analyst who is so consistently wrong.

Her greatest value to investors is that it is like taking "candy from a baby" to trade exactly opposite of her recommendations.

To Elaine's credit, she is the greatest marketer (con) of all time.
For one to have leveraged off her one great call in 1987 as she has is simply amazing. I often wonder why no writes that after that call, she was unwavering that the the market would continue down to 1360. It was not until the market climbed to approximately 2400 that she changed her tune. Have you ever wondered why Shearson cancelled the mutual fund she ran. Perhaps it was the five years without any meaningful net gain.

Have you looked at her letters in sequence and compared her calls...
Unreal...

And once upon a time there was a guru named Joe Granville...

Hopefully Elaine will survive all the legal action and continue to be a contrary indicator... If you find another like her - please post it to help us all.

Lou
