I know... we disagree on the absoluteness of much of what you say. That is a good example.

I would argue that the marginal dollar invested in stocks and certainly in several large sectors was 'more dead' than most other alternatives including a home [mal investment]. One could also argue the wonderful future multiplier resulting from paying taxes BTW with all the incredible technology to come out of the government.

I think I'm must not as 'black and white' a person as you :) [not meant to be negative].
