it's even MORE interesting to note the ties between members of the first Bush Administration--like our boy, Rummy--and Saddam Hussein in the 1980's... We started supporting Iraq against Iran from the day our Iranian Embassy was seized. Carter, Reagan, and Bush all used him, as we used, and are still using, a lot of leaders we don't like. The end of the cold war, and 911, changed that attitude a lot, but not totally.
