I was one who thought Buffett lost his touch 3 years ago, and now after all this, with Buffett being heralded as some kind of genious again... I am concluding that Buffett just doesn't do growth- period. Buffett is great in flat market periods and with mature industries like Coke. Anything innovative like the internet comes out of left field- and forget it. I'll bet Buffetts success would be vastly different had he started his investing career in a high growth period like the 20s or 90s.
