I have no idea why winter is flu season and summer isn't.

Mq speculated that it had something to do with the dew point of cold air, which does make sense, but it's still a guess.

People do get plenty of colds in the summer, though. My rheumatoid arthritis is very seasonal -- very bad in January, not bad at all in July.

SARS isn't over in China, yet, and I expect it to come back to the rest of the world by November, if not sooner.
