Do you have kids?

When the kids were just starting school (they were not in day care) I was astonished by how often they brought home diseases and infected the rest of us. Not quite so bad now that they are older.

My older son gets sick several times a year. He is susceptible to strep throat, as I am. Ever since he's been at school, he's brought home something every year. Typically he brings home a stomach flu, which the rest of us don't get, a regular flu, which my husband gets, and a variation on strep throat, which I get. No strep throat for the past few years, for which I am grateful.

My younger son, who is now 15, has been sick exactly three times in his entire life.
