Dear M: Actually their are 4 phases of Atkins the most difficult being the "induction" phase which only allows 20 grams of carbs a day. Even there you would be surprised what you can eat. The final phase is the lifelong one (forgot the actual name) and what you can eat is dependent upon yourself and your exercise regime and metabolism. A person such as yourself, who apparently exercises vigorously at least 4 times a week really could eat nearly anything EXCEPT flour and sugar. You probably could have 60 grams a day of carbs and not gain weight.
You must have grown up living along the coast. I bet you had a good time. jdn
