Lieberman is a gentleman, and IMO, would be the best candidate the Democrats have to face Bush....

Right now I can't get too worked up over who is best and who is not, given the length of time remaining before the primaries start. But it's clear the eventual Dem candidate will have to do two things: energize the hell out of the base, which means getting a lot of folk who haven't been going to the polls to do so and portray Bush as a captive of extreme right wing politics. Of the major candidates, Joe strikes me as the least likely to be able to pull that off. Well, who knows about Edwards. So I shouldn't say "least" but I don't put him at the top of the list.
