David,

I was a bit curious as to why you hadn't recognized my post to you, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized that all I wanted to do was to say that your being back helped to affirm to me that your health was improving, so maybe there was no need to respond.

You kind of remind me of a friend of mine, a Seventh Day Adventist. She has been through so much pain in her own life and still praises the Lord joyously. Now to those who do not understand just how wonderful a realationship with the Savior is, to praise God in times of great distress would seem totally ridiculous. But that is the gist of the whole quandry. Such people do not know Christ, therefore how could they possibly understand?

She has been ever diligent in her efforts to try to make me see the utter destruction to which my soul will eventually succomb should I continue down the path I always seem to come back to. I think she is wasting her time, but then again, I don't love my neighbor as myself.
As a matter of fact, I couldn't care less whether they get saved or not because then I'll have the last laugh just before we all take the final dive. Hatetred is truly a self destructive thing, and unfortunately I cannot separate it from myself lest I become the object of someone else's hate. This is where I always fail, hit me once and I'll chalk it up to a mistake, hit me twice and all of a sudden that person's soul doesn't mean much to me. So David, while I appreciate your rememberences, I think you're wasting your time. I wish you well and when you get to meet the Lord in person please tell Him I knew the difference and decided I just couldn't forgive.

Aside: It might be wise to stay off of Calling all SI Poets right now because there is one heck of a fight going on over there, but if and when it ever settles down I hope those who enjoy such linguistic word pictures will show them there.

God Bless you David, you are a gem. And my best wishes to your loved ones, they certainly are lucky to have such a wonderful husband and dad.

All the best,

Mike (can talk the talk, but can't walk the walk)
