Yankee Group picks Cable as the winner by today's CNBC announcement because cable can offer everything from TV, VOD, high-speed data, to cable telephony.

Veriozon's announcement of reducing its DSL price from $49.95 to $34.95 highlights the role of bundled services in carrier strategies because of their fears with cable companies.

This may push/force cable companies to speed up their deployment of cable telephony in order to compete.

Guess who is the winner?
