Canada got supremely punitive tariffs out of the Bush II regime, several weeks in advance of the events of September 2001, and escalating drastically in the weeks immediately following .... so we had forewarning of where these people's priorities really lie .... which cannot fail to effect the way in which we perceive their rule of the planet .... here a brit shows that he can see that -

'Barely noticed in the US (except by the US timber industry on whose behalf this tariff was raised), it has boosted the level of popular anti-Americanism in British Columbia to one which really is comparable to those in the Middle East.' - #reply-18911783

... sadly, said brit uses incorrectly the noun 'americanism', confusing one nation with an entire hemisphere ... but, he is not a member of our continental tribe, only a mere european, so he has that excuse
