Just finished the Hersh article. Thanks for posting it. I was going to wait for the hard copy to hit my mailbox tomorrow. But . . . . no discipline. Finally, gave up, printed it out, hit the best chair in the living room and read.

As usual, with Hersh it's devilishly hard to keep track of the argument. But it's fascinating stuff.

Who knows whether it goes anywhere. If little significant wmd stuff shows up, the story has legs. I have great respect for Remnick so I assume he thought carefully about printing a story that could be argued is simply governmental infighting. So I gather he knows something.

My guess is the regular newspapers, including the Times, won't pick up on it until it's reasonably clear about the wmds. They'll reason that it's too dangerous--they print the story and the next day the Bush folk claim to have found stuff.

You can also expect to see more. The revenge of Hersh's sources.
