Addi, thanks for starting the SPNSF thread.

Here's something that I find really interesting re the recent Y2k remediation contract:
biz.yahoo.com

The project which is valued at approximately $8.5 million, involves the review and remediation of an estimated 6 million lines of code over the course of one year. Sapiens will first convert a pilot project valued at $1.4 million, and upon satisfactory completion of the pilot project, will perform the remainder of the year 2000 conversion project. Sapiens will deploy its unique FALCON 2000 Assembler analysis and conversion tool to remediate an estimated 400,000 lines of Assembler code at Sapiens' internal year 2000 factory.

In other words, Falcon 2000, by operating on object code, provides Y2K remediation assistance for programs where the source code may no longer be at hand...probably rather common with really old stuff.

I could be wrong, but I haven't heard of any other Y2K remediation software that works on object code.

Comments anyone? Could be a biggie if SPNSF has something unique.

Gerry
