The median income disparity between African Americans and white (non hispanic) households in San Francisco? Almost $40,000! Of the five U.S. metro's with the lowest income disparity between African American and White households, three are in Florida: Orlando, Tampa-St. Pete and Fort Lauderdale.

I believe that you will find that residential segregation in Florida is lower than many cities in the Northeast or Midwest, too.
