I understand exactly devaluation occurs between currencies hedges are used to protect against unknown.

The rand is high which means less flexibility in the world market for your miners as the US dollar high meant more external buying power than it did investment here.

I think that Marunouchi is the largest bank in the world pennies for the dollar loan value another advantage of the continued debt base.

Citibank and Deutch

Venture Capital Fund-Raising Level Falls

By MICHAEL LIEDTKE 05/05/2003 17:24:03 EST
Venture capital fund-raising in the first quarter fell to its lowest level in nearly a decade, according to industry data released Monday.

The $996 million collected by venture capitalists during the three months ended in March represented the industry's driest three-month period since the third quarter of 1994, according to data compiled by Thomson Venture Economics for the National Venture Capital Association.

Venture capitalists raised $404 million in the 1994 quarter ending in September.

This year's first-quarter represented a 41 percent decrease from the same time last year, when venture capitalists raised $1.68 billion for future investments, the study said.

So reading the above the intelligent investor should buy bank stocks as of course risk debt adds up to profit increase and higher stock value. Debt we know does nothing but increase. Woe to those who put dollars in the bank as interest rates on the more solid dollars world wide stink. Woe to investment funds too as the shuttle didn't land so space is still not looking as if it has tremendous future profits potential, this is all said with tongue in cheek.
