I'm sure that when administering a message board countless decisions must be made. I'm equally sure that not every decision will be correct. Mistakes will be made. Since I expect to encounter a few bumps along the way, I'm pleasantly surprised when I can cruise down some smooth road for some distance. Others may not be so lucky. When one has a grievance, I expect them to make their case. It's a narrow path: plead too strongly and you discredit yourself; advocate your position with insufficient vigour and you get disregarded and dismissed. So what should we do? Both sides must not lose sight of the limitations of message board communication. Characters on a screen cannot convey the rich language we enjoy when speaking, and words alone cannot carry the same message as body language. Given these limitations, perhaps we should be quicker to overlook transgressions and slower to adopt an attitude based on anger. Bye4Now, FD.
