you make pork and waste sound sooo beautiful. I worked in this industry. It's plain money grubbing for the most part. It is summarily a drain on real free enterprise -- it's growth should not be heralded, but mourned. The result will only be further impoverishment of America.

A reasonable common, defense of the USA should cost 1/10th to 1/20th of what it now costs -- there is absolutely no justification for all the "homeland pork." The things that happened were preventable by the folks who had the reponsibility, if they'd been doing their jobs. They were negligent. That's all anyone reasonable can say about the matter. 9/11 is a wonderful excuse for more pork -- The republican party was supposed to be about fiscal conservatism at one pt -- I'm ashamed of the party now. All they know how to do is BIG government -- BIGGER than any of the Dems.

I watched people where I worked -- they had this glimmer in their eyes when they saw a jet fighter take off -- they revelled in the gulf war. They revelled in the technology of destruction -- the aura of secrecy and used it as a cover for financial misdeeds.

What happened to the idea that military conflict was a terrible last resort. Gone with the ability to think and reason, I suppose -- thrown in the dust bin -- while everyone waves their flags and talks about American Pride, These Colors Don't Run and all the stoopit BS!!

Iraq and Afghanistan become the most massive social / wealth transfer program squared.

Technologies created by the military and or space progams --don't trickle down to anyone -- over 90% is waste, even for military ventures, and some always turns out to be fraud, since government pockets are so deep.

If we want to make the world a safer place, the US should quit exporting these weapons.
