<font color=blue> You wrote: "If OBL has proved to be a minor problem for the US why are we at war with terrorists?" <font color=black> Boy do I have a surprise for you! While you were sleeping, America took Afghanistan from the Taliban and from Al Qaeda. As I said, OBL is either in a cave right now, or under a rock, scared to be seen in public. Are you asking me if OBL is the same threat that he was when he had terrorist training bases in Afghanistan, and had relatively freedom of movement? Are you asking me if OBL is the same threat he was before we started a worldwide war against terrorism, with targets including the financing, support and harboring of terrorists? This world is a much safer place to live, thanks to the great leadership and resolve of President Bush. Sure I would like to see OBL and Omar brought to justice, along with their thousands of other misfits. But the damage done to Al Qaeda and their world wide terrorist movement has been considerable, and his power to do evil has been weakened. President Bush's war against terrorism is an unqualified success, especially after our great victory over Iraq. Is the war against terrorism over? No. This is an ongoing war, that will last years. We may only finally win this war when there are no more corrupt, brutal dictatorships in the Middle East and throughout the world. |
