The thing about serum is that it contains the full range of antibodies - oh, and it's available now and it's free.

Figuring out which antibodies are the right ones is going to take a while, I think.

(I have seen speculation that SARS affects Fcr receptors because of the apparently different responses of Caucasians and East Asians to SARS - there is a well-documented polymorphism in response to IgG2).
