Two things -- 1) it may be possible to contain SARS given enough resources and the political will to do so; 2) if it is not possible then we need to allocate additional resources (more beds, more respirators, more masks, more research on treatments) than we are doing so far.

Chinese SARS isn't just a Chinese problem, it's a problem for the whole world. We are all connected.
