Brooks Automation's Factory Automation Software Selected by Samsung for its 300mm Computer Integrated Manufacturing System

Brooks' Best-in-Class Software Products Facilitate Advanced 300mm Operations
CHELMSFORD, Mass., May 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Brooks Automation, Inc. (Nasdaq: BRKS - News), which delivers total automation for semiconductor manufacturing, today announced that Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., the world's leading producer of memory chips and other advanced electronics, has purchased Brooks' factory automation software products for its 300mm wafer fabrication ("fab") facility in Hwasung, South Korea. This new factory will use Brooks' manufacturing execution system (MES), real time dispatching and reporting, material control system (MCS) and equipment connectivity software as the core of its factory automation system.
