1) It will avoid the US goes on a deflation a la Japan.

2) It make US exports cheaper to other countries vis a vis Europe.

3) It makes oil which is priced in USD cheaper.

4) It stops capital hogging by the US

The problem seems to be that Iraqi will have to sell more oil to reconstruct since its terms of trade worsens.
