11:59 am PT E-LOAN -- Volume Breakout (EELN) 4.08 +0.35: Issue is breaking out to a new 52-wk high today on very strong volume of 2.5 mln shares (4x avg). EELN is a online provider of consumer loans (mortgages account for roughly 60% of revs). This is a name we've already highlighted twice this yr (up 57% since the Jan New High Profile and 48% since the April comment). Stock has found renewed buy interest in recent trade following acquisition of peer Lending Tree by USA Interactive at a substantial premium; total value of the deal was roughly $734 mln... EELN is projected to earn $0.29 (p/e 14) in 2003, while EPS for 2004 is currently forecast just 7% higher at $0.31 (p/e 13)... Mkt-cap $240 mln.
