Well there you have it. The most dangerous thing is a society that thinks retiring at 30 is a good thing, something worth aspiring to. No wonder you are so fearful about the future, yours is completely without purpose. Don't you wish you had something actually worth doing?

is it just out of concern for our fragile male egos that you've never debunked any of it?

Been debunking this BS as long as I've been on these boards. It's not my fault most can't read well enough to understand the arguments.

perhaps if you did watch CNBC you would see that all the fund managers they have on there every day urging people to buy stocks

Oh they do now, but did you see them back in October? They all looked crushed as if they were facing terrible personal losses. I wasn't referring to the stock salesmen when I was referring to the popular view, I was talking about the individuals out there in the populace, the same people I deal with day and day out as clients. Universally they are negative on the economy, the market and their employment prospects. Even the ones who are doing quite well, they are sure that it will end any minute. I get a lot of angry responses when I even suggest that things may not be as bad as they think. How else does a person who made 90k last year think of himself as unemployed?
