I completely agree with you that Bill Bennet or anyone else for that matter can waste as much money as they want in Vegas or anywhere else. As long as they don't spend the rest of their time lecturing us about our lifestyles. I have heard Mr. Bennet going on about setting a good example to children. Well, explain to me how throwing away that much money is a good example anyone. People in glass houses...

And if you believe for one second that anyone can beat the odds on Las Vegas for any extended period of time then there is a large farm in downtown Los Angeles I would like to sell you. If it could be done then every phd in math and physics would simply spend a few weekends in Vegas each year and make a killing. Or they could rent themselves out to wealthy investors and make them a killing. It does not happen because in the long run (and Bennet has been a long term gambler) the house will always win. Anyone who believes otherwise (as Mr. Bennet) is either into self delusion or a liar and liars should not publish books about virtue.
