Why Did Mitch Daniels Really Resign: Allegations of Insider Trading, Of Course!

KLP,

I'm not certain what sort of strength the Dems can muster in '04. However, Bush seems to be having some trouble keeping hold of people in the Republican fold who have the least bit of integrity and decency about them. Though you seem loyal enough.

We found out today, in the Senate hearings of Wall Street reform, that most of Bush's big contributors on Wall Street continue to flaunt the rules and efforts to play fair. Even a business friendly bunch like the Wharton School feel that the 'retail investor' is an endangered species in the crooked racket called Wall Street. knowledge.wharton.upenn.edu

And we now find that the man who was was supposed to be honest about the budgets, OMB Director Mitch Daniels has abruptly been forced out because of an insider trading scandal in Indiana. Shades of Harken Energy. <g> You do remember that sweetheart deal for George Bush that you couldn't get hold of, don't you?
