Actually, I think that his article is encouraging. It shows that at least we do have some control over the spread of this infection - it shows that it is possible to take care of a SARS patient and NOT get sick (and become a vector) yourself. If we can do that, we may just be able to get the darn thing under control.

Having to deal with issues of disease, death and dying, loss of control and all the indignities involved is unavoidable - at some point - for all of us. An epidemic like this simply makes it more difficult to keep it all on the back burner, as we normally do. Hopefully, it gets controlled. If not, I'll probably have to "quarantine" myself in my office and not go home. Not really an attractive option.
