ab - WiFi is going to eat some of the meal on the wireless broadband table. That is inevitable.

The question is how much. If most office buildingare become 802.11 neabled and most of the areas around them and airports and Starbucks and hotels that is quite a big chunk.

No question 1x is better than nothing but it is simply not even close to a compairson if 802.11 is available. It just doesn't even come close.

And that is before mobile standards get finalised and they are ni the works now.

The big problem has been the time that it has taken to get this dream off the ground.

It has been a dream too far.

Thereis no question that competition from licensed manufacturers and now from competing technologies is closing in and it looks like some people are getting out as we see yet antother 25% collpase in the share price in a matter of a few short weeks.

And what is there to look forward to?

The summer till November?

The next earnings? Another few weeks of nailbiting while the slaggers do theri work and the company says nothing.
More downgrades from houses that no-one has even heard of but still get good billing. Actually downgrading QCOM is becoming a national sport.

Competitive annoucements all summer long? Samsung, now TI NOK and goodness knows who else.

More bad news from Brazil. Who cares about Brazil anyway. Let them pay off what they owe in international loans.

SARS

What on earth is there is encourage anyone to stay in this stock over the next six months? One bit of serious encouragement?

Look at todays Japan numbers... fabulous and the stock is now at $30.83.

On top of all this is that QCOM appears to be the worlds favourite short target for shorts and hedgies.

All a bit depressing.

Best,

L
