I wonder if with the fall of Soviet Union and the transformation of China, it is still as important to oppose the spread of communism in smaller countries.

South America seems to be the only place where it still has a foothold. Chavez in Venezula looks like a good example of "One election, one vote, one time," trying to happen. As long as we have that bearded bastard setting in Havana making mischief in central America, we are going to have to oppose it. It just makes the misery down there that much worse, IMO.
