Merced may be here sooner than most anticipated, albeit at a stiff price techweb.cmp.com (courtsey Bill Fishoffer post on Compaq thread) Also, on the AMD thread there was a good comparison of new AMD, Cyrix, and Intel pricesAssuming a computer selling for $1800 excluding the microprocessor, the difference in cost of the complete computer is only around 3% for 200 MHz machines. For a measly 3% who won't buy the real thing?
