Thanks Jacq, that was quite interesting and well written article. I really believe Uncle Buff is a prophet... IF we had just a dozen more like him, our economy would be in much better shape now. I don't think not many really understand what's going on behind all those complex derivatives. Derivatives itself isn't good or bad, it's just a tool. Like internet, knife or gun... The problem is "greedy human being" who are misusing those tools... As pointed out, dangers are there, and don't think we have enough 'safety margin' built into it. Gosh, how big is 100 trillion anyway,,, And the fact that just a few are controlling that huge market... sure isn't a comfortable thought. Can you imagine what would happen if one of them belly up?
